CHOOSY CHICKS CHOOSE CHICKLETS.  Say that fast a few times LOL!!!  This is the second Blog Hop I had this weekend!  Sorry I am so late but I made this first bracelet last night and was pretty happy with it.

Let me tell you where I was in my head last night!  I had an evil headache, I was coming off my 3rd 12 hour shift in a row and I was determined I was going to do this!!!  LOL So I pick a knotted waxed linen bracelet!!! LOL  what was I thinking...
Anyhow it was nice and simple and I liked it so I took the pics and uploaded them and went to start the post!

Then I am like ummmm I want something different.  this is not me!  It is very nice but... so then I did this one and it has crystal...mmmmm crystal!!!

I went to finish it off this morning and DANG IT half of it is upside down!!! LOL  So I had to  finish it tonight!
So it is done and I like this one too for entirely different reasons.  I really hope you like them both!!  Challenges are supposed to push you out of your comfort zone.  This one did and I really liked working with the chicklet! they are made by Sue Beads!  Thank you so much Toltec Jewels!!!

  1. It's funny though how sometimes a design can be great but just doesn't "feel" right or feel "like us." I liked your original bracelet and like your redo too! Not sure how you had the strength for a do-over after all you've been up to, but glad you did the challenge! Hope you can sleep well tonight! ;-)

  2. Robin - I'm in LOVE with your first bracelet! I'm so so jealous of those who use waxed cord - I just can't figure it out yet...it's like a mental block or something. I just think it's adorable. =) BUT at the end of the day - it's YOU who needs to be thrilled and your 2nd shot at it is much more you. =)

    Job well done!

(p.s. could I make a suggestion? the bright green of your blog background makes it tough to not see green in your pieces..... maybe try a lighter color? only *my* opinion =) you can give it all the thought it's due. =) )

    1. Hi Linda! I did not want to start with waxed linen, I was sure I would make a mess...LOL I got waxed linen in the bead soup swap! So I said I was going to use and just go from there!!! LOL I am not doing anything crazy with it but it is really fun!!! And we are going to change a lot of colors etc... here pretty soon because we are going to open an online store. So we will want every thing to match or at least co-ordinate. Thanks so much for the heads up. I don't "see" it anymore, you know what I mean? Have a Blessed Day!!!

  3. Robin - RELAX, your bracelets are fabulous! I like them both for different reasons. The first is simple & seems comforting to me, casual, even though I know the wax linen is NOT simple! The second is more stunning with the crystal bling & I love the color contrasts! Great job :) Hope this weeks slows a little for you! :)

  4. I like both of them. The white linen thread really makes the first bracelet pop, and you can never go wrong with crystals! :) Great job.

  7. Oooh, crystals. I like the shiny sparkly crystal version a lot, but I am totally in love with the original knotted version. Maybe because it's a technique I don't do, and one I admire. Either way, two lovely designs with the same bead in one night is quite an achievement.

    1. I am sooo glad you like them! This was a very fun hop! I did not want to over power the chicklet so that meant working outside of my very chunky style!!! I am glad it worked. Have a Blessed day!!!

  11. Robin, you amaze & inspire me! :) Both bracelets are beautiful (of course I too love crystals! Crystals are me, too!) but the most amazing quality is not just your design talents & ability to create various styles, but your strength to create despite migraines & massive work shifts!! You are an angel on earth & a role model for s all! You give me strength from your beauty & talents as a jewelry artist & an incredible person! You are a star!! I love you!! Thank you so much for sharing with us all.
